Overview
POWERsign is an innovative solution for the office-based physician practice that enables you to
digitally capture patient signatures on any form without touching paper.
Using a signature capture pad and pre-scanned forms (your regular, unmodified forms), POWERsign
will display each form to the patient on a second PC-attached monitor enabling your patients to
read the form and view their signatures in context. The patient sees only the form and nothing else.
If the patient would like a copy you can print one after the signature has been captured.
Secure Signatures
Using digital signature technology we 'seal' the document once it has been signed. If a modification
is made either to the electronically captured signature or to the underlying document you are alerted
any time the document is viewed.
When a signature is captured we record the coordinates of the pen on the pad with each stroke. We also
record the pressure. No person could possibly create their own signature the same way twice, thus every
signature capture will be unique. By checking for this uniqueness we can eliminate the cutting and pasting
of signatures from one document to another.
We have gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure what was signed, when, and by whom so that signatures captured by
POWERsign are non-repudiated (unabled to be doubted).
Reduces Errors
To help ensure required forms are always on file for a patient, POWERsign can require that certain forms
always be present in the patient's IMPOWER folder. When a folder is opened, if required forms are not present
you will receive a message from POWERsign telling you as much and the required forms that are not present will
be displayed in the list of forms to be signed.
